Find an act published in the Official Journal of the EU
An act is searched in the Procedures space, OJEU tab, or from the publication stage of the procedure that produced it.
Two routes, depending on whether you start from the text or from the file.
In detail
- By the text. Search > Procedures > OJEU. Filter by type of act, by publication date or by institution.
- By the file. Open the procedure, then its publication step: the act is attached there. It is the fastest route when you know the file.
- Open the act. You get the full text, the link to the legislative file and, where the text is taken in, its automatically generated summary.
The habit that saves time
On a file you follow with the bell icon, you are told about the procedure’s new stages, right through to publication, without having to watch the Official Journal. That is the main point of following a procedure right to the end rather than stopping at the plenary vote: publication is the moment when your client needs to know what applies, and from when.
