Set up my alert emails
In Preferences, Personalisation block, you choose whether to group your alerts into a single email and whether to include links to Dixit.
Two profile settings, and a third that is not where people look for it.

When to turn grouping off
Grouping is often preferable, but one email per alert can be useful for keeping your head clear when you work on very different subjects. In that case, one alert per subject is the recommended setup.
Where frequency is set
Frequency is set alert by alert, not in your profile: that is what lets you have one subject sent as soon as available and three subjects weekly. It happens in Monitoring > Keywords, then Update keyword alert.
