Parliamentary questions

  • Verified on
  • Scope France

Questions are searched in the Assemblée Nationale / Sénat space, Questions tab, with the Type, Status and Number filters.

Written, oral, topical: an early signal of a subject on the rise.

In detail

The three types

Type What it is
Question écrite Addressed to a minister, published in the official gazette with its answer. The largest volume, and a good reading of a subject rising in a constituency
Question orale Put on the floor, with or without debate. Rarer, more political
Question d’actualité The weekly questions to the Government. What is said there is picked up by the press the same day

Status

Each question carries its state: Pending while the answer is not published, Answer received afterwards, and the closing states Withdrawn, Transformed and Obsolete. The Status filter also accepts the value Tracked, which brings back the questions where you have switched the bell on.

Being warned

Exporting

The export carries the chamber, the author, their group, the date, the number, the title, the status, the text of the question, the text of the answer and the author’s email. In Word as well as Excel. This export gives you the question and the answer side by side: the direct raw material of a note on a ministry’s position.
