What is AI-generated in Dixit
AI-written summaries, such as the one on French amendments, are for fast triage, not for grounding a legal analysis.
What you can ask of an automatic summary, and what you must not.
In detail
Several kinds of content in Dixit are written automatically. The most visible is the summary of French amendments: fifty words maximum, written from the operative provisions and the explanatory statement. On European amendments, reports carry the text of the amendment itself.
What they do well
Letting you spot quickly the amendments that concern you. That is their only purpose.
When to open the full text
On the three amendments that decide your file, open the full text: it is one click away, with the chevron on the right of the row. The summary got you to them, the text tells you exactly what they do.
Labelling the type of amendment
When an amendment states its own nature, the summary repeats it: d’appel, rédactionnel, de cohérence, de précision, de coordination, de réécriture, de rétablissement, de rectification. This is a copy, not a classification: an amendment that is rédactionnel without presenting itself as such will not be labelled. When a label is present, it reflects the wording used in the amendment itself. For sensitive use, check the source text.
Amendment sourcing
On French amendments, Dixit also links some amendments to an interest representative, when the explanatory statement names the organisation. This link is produced by an AI from the explanatory statement: check it in the text before attributing it.
The other automatically written content
Summaries of debates and of transcripts, summaries of documents, of questions and of contributions, and translations. All follow the same rule: good for sorting and for finding your bearings, to be checked before you quote them.
