Follow a committee or a parliamentary body
Open the body’s page in the Assemblée Nationale / Sénat space, Bodies tab, then click the bell and choose your sources.
A standing committee, a committee of inquiry, a fact-finding mission: any parliamentary body can be followed.
In detail
Any parliamentary body can be followed the way you follow a bill: standing committee, special committee, committee of inquiry, fact-finding mission, joint committee, delegation, study group, parliamentary office, political group. One bell on its page, and you receive everything that happens there.
| What you receive | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Membership changes | Someone joining the committee that handles your subject is a contact to make before anyone else does |
| Upcoming meetings | A meeting in the calendar, with its title, tells you what is about to be examined ahead of any publication |
| Official reports and their summary | You know in a few lines what was said, without opening the video |
| Published documents | Reports, opinions, official reports, as soon as they go online |
| Communications and members’ posts | The political mood of the body, which no official document gives you |
How to switch it on
- Open the directory of bodies. Search > Assemblée Nationale / Sénat > Bodies. The Type filter takes you straight to the family you need.
- Open the page, click the bell. You then choose the sources followed and the frequency.
- Tick what serves you. The sources offered depend on what the body produces: official reports, meetings, documents, communications, changes of function, social media.
Which body to follow
The standing committee competent on your sector first: that is where your file is worked on before it reaches the floor. Add a committee of inquiry or a fact-finding mission as soon as it is created, because its report often shapes the text that follows, and following it gives you its hearing calendar.
