Understanding the balance of power in a committee
Follow the committee from the Assemblée Nationale / Sénat space, Bodies tab, then read its transcripts filtered on your topic.
Who carries weight, who is opposed, and on what exactly.
In detail
In Search > Assemblée Nationale / Sénat > Bodies, open the committee concerned. You will find its documents, its transcripts, its upcoming meetings and its changes of membership. The bell icon subscribes you to all of it.
What is really worth reading
Committee transcripts are an often overlooked source. That is where positions are stated plainly, before they are smoothed out in public sitting. Filter them on your topic and read the last two or three: you will know who is defending what, with which arguments and in what tone.
Changes of membership
They go unnoticed and they matter. A new member on a committee is a position to discover and a contact to make before anyone else. The alert flags them for you.
