Understanding the balance of power in a committee
Follow the committee from the Parliament space, Bodies tab, then read its transcripts filtered on your topic.
Who carries weight, who is opposed, and on what exactly.
In detail
Open the committee concerned and click the bell icon. Tick the sources that serve you: meetings, transcripts, documents, changes of function.
The early signal
A meeting in the committee’s calendar, with its title, tells you earlier than the publication of a document does. It is the natural complement to following by procedure, and it costs one click.
The transcripts
Interventions in committee state positions before they are formalised in amendments. Filter them on your topic: you will find the exact vocabulary the members use, which is valuable for drafting an argument they will take up.
