Jump to the exact moment in the video
On a debate’s page, every transcribed passage carries its timecode: one click on it positions the video on that passage.
On a three-hour hearing, you go straight to the passage you need.
In detail
On the page for a debate, the transcription is split into interventions. Each block shows its speaker when identified, its timecode and a play button. One click, and the video moves to that passage. You no longer have to scroll through a recording to find the forty seconds you care about.
The method that works
- Search the text first. Use the search box on the Transcription tab to find your phrase.
- Then listen to the passage. Click the timecode on the highlighted block.
- Then quote from the official report. If the remark is going into a deliverable, check the wording against the official report published by the institution.
Adjusting by a few seconds
The alignment between text and video is computed automatically. If the video starts a few seconds away from the passage, step back slightly in the player and you land on it.
