Find something specific in Dixit
In the search bar, quotation marks, the asterisk and the hyphen work as in your alerts, and a clicked suggestion becomes a filter.
Dixit’s search is not a web search engine. You drive it differently.
In detail
Type the start of the name of a group, a committee, a parliamentarian or a label: Dixit offers you the matches under separate headings, and one click turns the suggestion into a filter. If you confirm without clicking, what you typed stays a word searched in the text.
What sets Dixit apart from a web search
Depth. The date filter goes a long way back: searching amendments since 2001 is an ordinary query. That is what lets you answer, in a single search, “has this topic already been through Parliament”.
Searching for a number
The search bar also accepts identifiers. Type an amendment number or a procedure number: it is matched against the references, case included. Useful when someone quotes you a reference over the phone.
